We offer a full range of sanctions compliance consultancy services, as well as sanctions investigations looking at particular issues, individuals and/or entities, vessels and aircraft.
More details about our offerings below.
We offer a range of Sanctions compliance consultancy services, from creating sanctions control frameworks, completing Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessments (EWRA), to audits, and bespoke reports on particularly issues, or answering specific queries.
More about the individual services is set out below.
We can help companies create sanctions compliance frameworks to manage and mitigate identified sanctions risks. We can advise on due-diligence systems, including screening options. We can help create sanctions policies, enhanced due-diligence questionnaires, and relevant procedures for both staff and organisations.
We can also review existing risk management tools and advise on potential improvements, and updates to better manage and mitigate the sanctions risk.
Finally, we can deliver bespoke sanctions training as part of the control framework, both on the procedures we design and more widely across a range of live sanctions topics.
We offer sanctions compliance audit services, where we will review the existing sanctions control frameworks and practices. These audits will assess all elements such as screening solutions utilised, tools for identifying and managing sanctions risk, licencing procedures, blocked and frozen procedures, wider sanctions policies and procedures. We will also evaluate the training offered to staff.
Once completed we will share with you an audit report setting out our findings in detail. In our audit report we will also make recommendations based on the result for where improvements can be made.
We can provide ad-hoc sanctions and export control consultancy across a range of issues and sectors, responding to clients needs and requirements. Included within this we can be engaged to carry out specific analysis, responding to particular queries and author bespoke products, such as they relate to a range of topics, industries, exports, businesses and wider in-depth reports. The reports that we are commissioned to do could be just for the commissioning organisation, or can be aimed at contributing to the wider sanctions or export control space. These products can be tailored to look at how any relevant issues might effect your organisation or sector.
Please note that all advice that Sanctions SOS provides on a consultancy basis should not be considered legal advice and where appropriate you should seek your own legal advice. We do however work with a number of law firms across the globe and can make recommendations should you need this assistance.
Amongst our Sanctions Compliance Consultancy products we offer a number of standard packages for coming in and either updating existing sanctions policies and control frameworks or designing these from scratch. A particular focus for us is working with companies/organisation that may not have any sanctions compliance framework in place yet and helping them implement this and manage it on an ongoing basis.
We offer a range of packages which are based on the sanctions risk a company/organisation faces, number of customers and employees. The guidance chart below sets this out and what some of the differences might be between the different packages we offer based on size/risk and cost. We are also able to offer ongoing services, which may include conducting screening dependent on quantity and size.
It is important to note that all of our pricing is based on risk/size and the amount of work/time required. Prices start reasonably to help small and medium size enterprises be able to afford assistance in designing their compliance frameworks and managing the sanctions risks.

We also work with governments to help them scenario plan by acting as a Red Team, challenging decisions taken on sanctions to better help governments understand the impact of any decisions, and understand the wider implications, such as on the private sector and/or evasion efforts by countries and networks.
